WORDS AND THOUGHTS ABOUT LOVE - 07.31.2011

Love cushions the fall when I hit bottom and alleviates the pain as I try and get up. Love supports me in the weakest times and pushes me through the toughest struggles. Love is unique in the fact that if it’s lagging in one area, it will show through in many others. Love is the one thing that can keep me going day after week after month after year. Sure love may be tricky and confusing within itself, but the ups and downs, highs and lows aren’t negative setbacks, it’s positive progress. Love never ceases to amaze me. Reblogged on TumTum ♻

What’s the point in loving someone if you know you’re going to get hurt in the end? Why get into something if you think you’re going to end up hurting yourself? Because we’re all human, and the whole point of our existence is to love. That’s why we’re here. We’re not here to make it big and to build sky scrapers and monuments or to be venerated by thousands of people for an amazing achievement. We’re here to leave pieces of our souls not in the hearts of millions of people, but just one person. That one person that matters.  And if it doesn’t work out, well so what? Doesn’t it matter that you let them change you, and they let you change them? And one day, 50 years from now you’re going to look back, and you’re going to regret nothing. Because it’s part of you. Because it makes you, and defines you. And you don’t feel like less of a person because you know that you did what you were supposed to do. You know that you lived. because loving is living. It’s as simple as that.

“Love is like a head wound. It makes you dizzy, you think you’d die, but you’d recover from it (at least usually).” — Dorota, Gossip Girl

“There are only two kinds of love songs: one that says “i love you & you love me” and … another that says “i love you but you love someone else” — Sir Balmeo

when you love someone so much. - after every fight, every argument, every heart break. At the end of the day none of it even matters anymore. Because you’d rather keep the relationship, and let the problem go. not keep the problem and let the relationship go. No matter what happens, No matter how much it hurt. Nothing is more important than that person

“You know what’s a great metaphor for love? Sleeping beauty. Because you have to plow through this incredible thicket of thorns in order to get to beauty, and even then, when you get there, you still have to wake her up.” — Tiny Cooper

Real men never stop trying to show a girl how much she means to him, even after he's got her.

“I shall love you till that final stretch of sand that the sea never quite reaches is finally swathed by crashing waves. Or, perhaps longer… if there’s time.” — Morrissey
